Last week I wrote how to take videos from YouTube and add them to your music library (http://geekyclown.com/?p=46). I forgot to mention that you can also take the videos and add them to a DVD or put them on your machine to watch later. Here is a quick way to do this:
1.) Find the video you want from YouTube.
2.) Copy (control-C) the URL of the video.
3.) Go to www.keepvid.com and paste the URL at the top.
4.) Download the video as a Flash Video (either high or low quality is up to you, your bandwidth, and your machine).
5.) Download Prism Video Converter from http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html.
6.) Load your Flash video into Prism Video Converter and convert it into a format that you can use. .WMV if you want to play it on your machine or .AVI if you want to burn a DVD.
Simple.
